Our Social Responsibilities
Since Servicio IT Solutions is a relatively young impact maker in the corporate landscape, one might argue that we are not bound by legal constraints or the control of another parameter(s) that define the strategic positioning of big companies nowadays (for good reasons). But being a next-gen firm does little to no good if one does not prioritize the integration of social responsibility initiatives with their core business values. We champion socially driven transformations, which is why our commitment to address some of the pressing issues of society - centered around basic human needs like food, shelter, clothing, education, and healthcare - is important. We build collaborations with compassion.
Among the most vulnerable categories in the informal working class are the children involved in rag picking activities. Not only does poverty snatches away the basic rights to healthcare and education from them (forcing them to migrate to bigger cities) but it also exposes them to an extremely unhygienic work environment. To help children phase out from this work, we have pledged our support to Panchtatva, an NGO that provides free healthcare and education to children involved in waste picking. We help them by channeling our funds to those in critical medical conditions and conduct regular health checkups. The challenge here was not just limited to the kids, but also involved convincing their community; Children going to school cut off their already meager family income. Owing to this, the NGO started conducting evening classes for them. The impact? Many of these children have started attending regular schools after getting a basic level of education!
Spring of 2020 saw the whole world come to a standstill owing to the novel times that WHO soon characterized as a pandemic. This severely impacted businesses identifying as SMEs followed by aftershocks of layoffs. But it was the groups near the poverty line who took the biggest hit; India witnessed one of its biggest waves of migration of labor groups. We at Servicio IT Solutions threw our weight behind Udaan People’s Foundation, an NGO which strives to enable local communities to live a dignified life. UPF started its Food Bank with a simple yet impactful aim: No one should sleep hungry. They are distributing food packets and essential kits to the needy. Their Covid-19 Food Relief Campaign has already covered around 5000 people during the lockdown situation. We partner with organizations like UPF who have scaled socially impactful models to address some of the current times’ pressing issues.
Another one of similar (Non-Governmental) Organization which is driving transformations in the lives of thousands of children – orphans, children of socially victim women, destitute, children of convicts, and needy children, is SAMPARC who have an active network in states Maharashtra, Rajasthan, West Bengal, and Uttar Pradesh. From rehabilitation and healthcare to education and skill development, the organization has been supporting the overall development of these children for 30 years! This is why we at Servicio IT Solutions pledge our support to SAMPARC so that they can continue tackling challenges that deprive the needy class of exercising their right to education and a better, dignified life.
Our desire to bring waves of change is not only limited to the corporate or social sphere, we have a bold ambition to achieve the same within our company. As part of our mission to reduce our carbon footprints, we actively encourage the motto of “reduce, reduce, recycle” across departments and office spaces. Most of our redundant tasks have already been shifted to a paperless model, which is not just an environmental crisis, but also an enterprise one. In the heart of our sustainable business model is also an inclusive workforce that challenges the gender norms that hold back growth.
